Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)

What is it?

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success.

HERO Point System

All students may earn HERO points from any staff member for following the R.O.A.R. behavior expectations.  

 

R = Respectful

O = Organized & Prepared

A = Always Safe

R = Responsible

Recognize students for doing the right thing. Schools that reinforce positive behavior reduce discipline-related issues, improve academics, and create a better place to learn and grow. 


HERO Points

Student may use their HERO points to gain access to school events, use the HERO room, and compete against their classmates for making good decisions.

 

HERO Room

Students will 50+ HERO points enjoy access to the school's HERO ROOM (Room 13) during lunch (Mon-Thu).

The Hero Room has video games (PS4 & Xbox 360), ping-pong table, foosball tables, mini-pool tables, mini-basketball, etc. 

Students must make a reservation to enter room with Ms. Lia Vang (Attendance Clerk) as there is a maximum of 10 students per day.

All students will be given a chance to use room before students can use points to enter again.
